Shell is very large, dark brown to yellow and discoidal shape with the whorl keeled in juveniles becoming rounded in the last half of the body whorl..

This is found from the Richmond River in New South Wales to Mt Glorious in SE Queensland.

It lives in subtropical rainforest in rocky areas, under rocks and deep litter.

The animal is light brown with dark grey optic tentacles and yellowish foot sole.
